Optimal Solutions Receives SAP Certification to Market and Implement SAP Public Budget Formulation Solution
Proven Public Sector Experience and Deep SAP Expertise Help Optimal Secure SAP PBF Certification
Irving, TX. - November 17, 2009 – Optimal Solutions Integration, Inc., a leader in SAP®-based business transformation, today announced it has received certification from SAP to market and implement the SAP Public Budget Formulation software solution (SAP PBF) to public sector organizations throughout the United States and Canada.
Introduced in March 2009, SAP PBF helps public agencies make fast, fiscally sound budgetary decisions by providing accurate, real-time information and automating core, decision-related processes. SAP PBF is preconfigured to facilitate an array of budgeting practices, including incremental, zero-based and performance-based budgeting. The solution accommodates varied reporting requirements, including reporting against operations, capital, grants and other budget types. Additional, timesaving and efficiency-driving capabilities of SAP PBF include robust text handling and push-button budget book publishing. To date, 10 large government organizations have contracted for SAP PBF implementation.
“SAP Public Budget Formulation is specifically designed for U.S. and Canadian public sector organizations faced with today’s uncertain economy, diminishing tax revenue, limited resources and increasing budgetary pressures,” said Tom Byrne, SAP America’s national vice president for state and local sales, marketing and partnership initiatives. “SAP PBF further extends SAP’s leadership in providing innovative public sector solutions that improve services while lowering costs. Public sector agencies realize immediate and lasting value from SAP PBF, and will also benefit from Optimal’s extensive public sector knowledge and SAP consulting experience.”
Optimal’s SAP consulting experience in the public sector includes work on projects at NASA, the U.S. Department of Defense, the District of Columbia, the State of Washington, and Howard County, among other public sector SAP sites.
Said Optimal Solutions CEO Gurvendra Suri, “SAP PBF addresses the pressing need among public sector organizations for an affordable and efficient solution that streamlines, automates and reduces errors in the budgeting process. Certification from SAP to market and implement SAP PBF throughout the U.S. and Canada attests to Optimal’s strong SAP expertise and proven public sector ability. We are committed to growing Optimal’s public sector practice. The addition of SAP PBF certification to our portfolio of SAP public sector solutions and services is integral to our growth strategy.”
